The 7th International Conference on the World of Technology and Advanced Materials
– “WITAM’2025” organized by the Laboratory of Physical and Chemical Studies of Materials
(LEPCM), Department of Physics, Faculty of Material Sciences, will be held at the University
of Batna 1, Algeria, from November 4 to 5, 2025.
This international event brings together leading researchers, scientists, industry professionals, and
academic experts to exchange ideas, present recent research, and explore future directions in the
ever-evolving field of advanced materials and cutting-edge technologies. WITAM’2025 continues a
tradition of excellence in fostering collaboration between academic and industrial communities from
across the world.
In a world increasingly dependent on materials innovation to address global challenges—ranging
from sustainability and environmental protection to healthcare and high-performance
technologies—this conference serves as a platform for knowledge dissemination and interdisciplinary
dialogue.
The scientific program of WITAM’2025 will cover a wide array of topics reflecting both fundamental
research and applied innovations, including but not limited to:
Thermodynamic calculations using CALPHAD: Modeling of phase diagrams and
thermodynamic properties to design and optimize materials.
Ab-initio calculations of physical properties: First-principles simulations for understanding
electronic, structural, and mechanical behaviors at the atomic scale.
Materials characterization: Advanced experimental techniques for analyzing microstructure,
composition, and performance of materials.
Alloys based on noble metals: Design and application of high-value metallic alloys in
electronics, catalysis, and medical devices.
Advanced nanomaterials: Synthesis, properties, and applications of materials at the
nanoscale, including quantum dots, nanotubes, and 2D materials.
Biomechanics and biomaterials: Development of biocompatible materials for medical
implants, tissue engineering, and prosthetics.
Material recycling and environmental assessment: Strategies for sustainable material use,
lifecycle analysis, and environmental impact reduction.
Ceramics, glasses, and composite materials: Innovation in traditional and advanced
ceramics, structural glasses, and multifunctional composites.
In addition to oral and poster sessions, the conference will feature plenary talks from distinguished
speakers, thematic workshops, and opportunities for networking and collaboration. Researchers at
all stages of their careers, including graduate students and early-career scientists, are strongly
encouraged to participate.
We look forward to welcoming you to WITAM’2025 in Batna, a city rich in history and culture, for
what promises to be a stimulating and impactful scientific gathering.
